How do I plug my CDJ1000 in to a DJM800 mixer?
To plug your CDJs in to a mixer you need a cable that fits the CDJ and the mixer. Onion Audio use the CDJ1000 for our CDJ and the DJM800 for the mixer.
Both of these units use phono connectors (also called RCA connectors). There are three outputs on the back of the CDJ, one white, one red & one orange.
We are going to deal with the red and white connectors as these are the analogue connections that are most commonly used (orange is digital & will be dealt with later).

The red connection represents the right hand side of the stereo signal & the white represents the left hand side of the stereo signal.
Take a pair of phono cables and put the red plug in the red socket on the CDJ.

Then plug the other end of the red cable in to the red socker marked ’1 – CD’. Repeat this with the white cable and socket.
On the DJM800 ensure the small switch under the inputs is switched to ‘cd’ & not ‘digital’.
And finally on top of the mixer, ensure the the switch at the top of channel one has ‘cd/digital’ selected.
Your CDJ is now plugged in and ready to go!
