How big does my sound system need to be?

The answer to this question varies depending on certain factors.

How big is the room?
Obviously the large the room the larger the system will need to be to fill it.

How many people are attending?
Again, the more people attending, the bigger the system will need to be to cover all of them.

What type of event is it?
Music at a club night is substantially louder than that at a wedding or acoustic event so this becomes a factor in the decision making process.

How dependent on bass is the music you are playing
A reggae night requires more bass than a house music event. The style of music being played also plays a role in determining how large a system needs to be.
